1. Stay at home and take a lot of rest.
Please be careful about flu etiquette. If you have symptoms on the first day, call work or school and tell them that you will not be admitted for several days. You are sick-and very contagious! Use downtime to give your body the rest it needs. Relax on the couch and read, watch DVDs, or snooze your cat, fighting your body against viruses.

2. Take a lot of water.
Make sure you get more liquid. Not everything needs to be water. It also includes fruit juices, sports drinks, and soup-based soups such as chicken noodle soup. They continue to hydrate your respiratory system, helping to turn that nasty thick mucus into a thin liquid that you can cough and exhale. That’s a good thing. Accumulation in the lungs can lead to infection.

3. Treat pain and heat.
Do you have a fever That’s because your body heats up to fight off the flu virus.

Over-the-counter medications such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and naproxen are used to treat the associated pain. Check with your doctor to see which is appropriate.

Never give aspirin to people under the age of 19. It is associated with a condition called Rye syndrome, a serious illness that can damage the brain and liver.

4. Cough.
Over-the-counter treatments can calm your hack. Try an expectorant. The mucus turns into a liquid and you can cough. Do not give over-the-counter coughs and cold remedies to children under 4 years of age.

5. Sit in a hot and humid bathroom.
If it’s still stuck, sit in the bathroom with the door closed. Keep the shower hot until the room is filled with moist steam. Sit away from water to avoid burns.

6. Run the humidifier.
If the air in your house is dry, you can moisten it with a fog humidifier or vaporizer to relieve congestion and coughing. Do not use warm mist as it can promote bacterial and mold growth. Also, keep your device clean to prevent mold formation.
